South Grounds x HOUSE of BLVCK ICE

The South Grounds - Home of the Cold School of Thought

The South Grounds of the HOUSE of BLVCK ICE estate represents the heart of our educational division, the Cold School of Thought — where creativity, culture, and community collide. Designed as an immersive learning environment, this area cultivates street dance and street art education through (2) signature programs:

  • SNOWPACK ACADEMY - A movement-based course for youth ages 6-17, focused on the foundations, history, and performance of street dance culture.

  • COLD CANVAS CLUB - A creative development hub for artistic teens and young adults ages 13-25, offering design courses, mentorships, and project-based residencies in style, visual arts, and creative storytelling.

Nestled behind the estate like a creative backyard, the South Grounds are where the next generation of cultural architects are shaped — through rhythm, designs, and expression.

SNOWPACK ACADEMY

A transformative street dance education residency for K-12 learners

The Snowpack Academy is a youth educational course of the Cold School of Thought, offering a unique grade-adaptable ‘Intro to Street Dance’ Residency for schools, dance studios, after-school programs, and youth centers.

Rooted in authentic street dance culture, our mission is to develop both movement literacy and academic fluency, creating a dual path of creativity and classroom growth - all without the pressure to perform. Instead, students will participate in a Demonstration of Progress to celebrate their evolution.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The Snowpack Academy is an introductory street dance curriculum designed for kindergarten through 12th grade. Rooted in the cultural foundations of freestyle dance, the program emphasizes movement as both a creative outlet and an educational tool. It’s adaptable for dance studios, after-school programs, schools, and community centers - and can be taught directly by our lead educator, licensed to institutions, or customized to fit other instructors and styles.

Each student enters the program as a beginner and progresses through a rank-based system that recognizes development in both dance and academic enrichment. Instead of a high-pressure performance, students participate in a progress demonstration to reflect on their growth.

This program not only strengthens street dance foundations but integrates learning through math (counts), vocabulary (cultural terms), science (body & energy), social-emotional expression, and creative storytelling — all while building confidence, rhythm, and self-awareness.

COLD CANVAS CLUB

JOIN THE CLUB. EMBRACE THE COLD

“EVERYTHING IS A CANVAS. EVERY CANVAS IS COLD”

At COLD CANVAS CLUB, we don’t limit creativity to traditional spaces. A canvas isn’t just stretched fabric anymore - it’s any surface, any medium, any moment waiting to be transformed. Walls, jackets, sneakers, denim, city streets, even movement itself - everything is a potential masterpiece in the hands of a skilled artist with vision.

What makes it cold is the style, precision, and craftsmanship that is brought to the transformation. COLD isn’t just temperature - it’s untouchable creativity, the kind that stands out, lasts, and leaves an impact. This motto defines who we are: a club of visionaries who see past the blankness and bring bold ideas to life. Whether painting, customizing, or designing, we take the ordinary and ICE it out into something iconic.

If you see the world as your canvas, you’re already in the club!
